FALL UPDATES, RESOURCES & IMPROVEMENTS AT MAGENTA HEALTH

Earlier this year, we asked patients to share their feedback about their experiences accessing and interacting with us as part of our ongoing <Better Care/> efforts. We received more than 36,000 responses, and your feedback gave a clearer picture of what’s working well, where patients experience challenges, and where we can improve.

We’re actively using that feedback to shape our resources and improvements, and we’ll keep using what we heard to inform our work in the months ahead.

We’ve had lots happen since our summer newsletter, and we wanted to share some of our recent updates, new resources, and a look at the behind-the-scenes work happening across Magenta Health.

What You Told Us: Patient Survey Results & What We’re Doing Next

We asked patients to share their experiences accessing and interacting with Magenta Health. Here’s what the responses told us, and how we’re using that feedback to guide ongoing improvements across our clinics.

Read the full breakdown.

How to Get in Touch With Our Team

Our patient surveys showed that some patients weren’t aware that live phone support is available Monday–Friday, so we want to make sure it’s clear how and when to reach us.

Click here to learn more about contacting our team, when to use each option, and the steps to take depending on what you need help with.

Spotting Staff in Our Clinics

We’ve introduced new pink “Staff” lanyards to make it easier to spot team members who can help with administrative questions when you’re visiting our clinics.

Look for the pink lanyards if you need help while you’re here!

NEW RESOURCES FOR NAVIGATING YOUR CARE

Patient Immunization Information Hub

Our new immunization hub brings trusted vaccine information together in one place, with Ontario immunization schedules and recommendations, information about routine, additional, and optional vaccines, guidance on keeping immunization records up to date, and links to trusted, evidence-based resources.

Visit the Patient Immunization Information Hub here.

➤ Did you or your child recently receive a vaccine? Help keep your immunization records complete and up to date by reporting your vaccine to your local public health unit!

If you live in Toronto, visit Toronto Public Health's Immunization Connect Ontario. If you live in the Peel Region, use Peel Public Health's Immunization Connect Ontario instead.

➤ Looking for information about flu vaccines? Keep an eye on our Flu Vaccine Information page for updates as we head into flu season. More information is expected to be available toward the end of October or early November.

How to Book an Urgent Appointment at Magenta Health

Not sure whether you need an urgent appointment or how to find one? Our new guide explains how to find and book an urgent appointment, how to tell the difference between an urgent concern and an emergency, and when you may need a different level of care.

The guide also includes a step-by-step booking walkthrough and video tutorial to help you navigate the process.

IMPROVING patient CARE THROUGH TECHNOLOGY

Chronic Disease Management Across Our Patient Population

We’re looking at how AI-supported tools can help us make better use of existing health information, spot potential health concerns earlier, support more proactive care, and improve chronic disease management across our patient population.

Exploring Local AI in Primary Care

Learn why we’re exploring local AI in primary care, with a focus on protecting patient privacy and keeping information within clinic-controlled infrastructure. We also share how this technology could support care teams with tasks like chart review, population-level care, and navigating complex records.

We’re continuing to develop new resources and tools to help patients find the information they need, navigate our online processes more easily, and get support when questions come up — and we’ll have more to share in the months ahead.

Thank you to all of our patients, families, and community members for sharing your feedback and being part of Magenta Health. Your questions, ideas, and experiences are incredibly valuable to us and help us understand where we can improve and what matters most to the people we care for.

If you’d like to support our work to improve the systems and tools behind your care, you can learn more about our <Better Care/> campaign and join your fellow patients in making these changes possible.

We’re listening, we’re grateful to have you with us, and we look forward to sharing more with you in the coming months.
