Shining a Spotlight on our Art: Spa-on-the-Canvas

August 29, 2015 Magenta Health
Cascading Passion

Magenta Health is proud to feature the original art of flutist and music producer Laura Nashman – 21 original pieces grace our reception area, hallways, and examination rooms.

In her own words, Laura “has discovered several ways to empower peoples' lives with combined art forms.  Her boutique label, Spa-la-la, offers music of both a positive nature along with classical CD's and concept albums, such as music for babies.”

Her unique art displayed at the clinic is an extension of her love for art, beauty and wellness, and is from her "Spa-on-the-Canvas" collection of vibrant and soothing abstracts.

For Laura, this expansion for Spa-la-la, from simply music CD's to the visual medium offers “the eyes a chance to dwell in bliss. It is my wish to share emotions that are associated with beauty when people look at my art - from a state of bliss, relaxation, rejuvenation or simply happiness"

Other than at Magenta Health, Spa-on-the-Canvas pieces are displayed at H20 Float Spa in Toronto, private medical offices, inns and spas, and in private collections in Canada and Japan.

The month of September, Laura's pieces offer a gift of 25% off, as an incentive to 'kick off' the school year and to give your home, office or cottage a face-lift with a refreshing burst of colours.

Laura is also available to do private commissions upon request.

Welcome to Magenta Health, located in Tkaronto (Toronto), on the traditional territory of the Huron-Wendat, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, the Anishinabek Nation, the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, and other Indigenous peoples who have nurtured the health and wellness of this land for generations. As we provide care in this region, we acknowledge the enduring presence and knowledge of Indigenous communities and commit to promoting health equity by actively reflecting on a more truthful and inclusive history of what is now known as Canada. This includes the past and present systemic racism faced by our Indigenous colleagues, patients and community members.
