Magenta Health family practice obstetrics
Who is the doctor?
Dr. Heba Shamsi is a family doctor at Magenta Health who specializes in providing end-to-end low-risk pregnancy care. She is with you from the start of your pregnancy, through delivery and into the postpartum period.
As a family doctor, her knowledge of you and your family helps her provide the well-rounded care she is passionate about during your pregnancy and beyond.
Where will I deliver?
Patients of Dr. Shamsi will be registered to deliver at Michael Garron Hospital Family Birthing Centre.
Who will deliver my baby?
Dr. Shamsi belongs to a team of family physicians who rotate through 24-hour call shifts. This means the “on-call” physician from this team would be the one delivering your baby.
Informal gatherings are hosted throughout the year so that patients have the opportunity to meet the other members of their on-call physician team and ask questions about the delivery experience!
