IMPORTANT MESSAGE for Patients of Dr. Darakhshan Ansari

We’re writing to share an important update for all patients of Dr. Darakhshan Ansari.

After deep reflection, Dr. Ansari has decided to not return to her practice on November 1, 2026. She is moving out of the country. It is a difficult decision, but it is the right choice for her and her family. 

Dr. Ansari wants to take this opportunity to express her sincere gratitude for the privilege of having been your family doctor. She wishes you all the best and good health.

Fortunately, Magenta Health has been able to secure continuing care until at least April 30, 2027. We will continue to actively search for a permanent replacement physician, and are optimistic that we will be able to find a permanent care arrangement by the end of January 2027. We will update you by the end of January 2027.

  • From now until November 1, 2026, Dr. Anthea Ho will continue to provide care.

  • November 1, 2026 until at least April 30, 2027, Dr. Alison Wong will provide care. Please be nice to her and encourage her to stay! There is a chance Dr. Wong may decide to stay on and take over the practice on a permanent basis.

There is nothing that you will need to do differently due to these changes. Just continue to book as you normally would, contact the clinic and your family doctor as you always have. The clinic will be handling all the changes in the background for you.

  1. We would like to kindly note we will not be able accommodate physician switch requests, inclusive of requests to switch clinics. We have a long waiting list of patients attempting to book intake appointments with us.

  2. Dr. Ansari is not establishing another family practice in Ontario; therefore, it is not an option to remain with her in the long term.
